FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE WILL I BE HOUSED?
Most participants will be housed in one of the many heated cabins at Camp Lazarus. Mattresses, bunks, and showers will be available. There are limited spaces available in the cabins. Space will be allocated in the order that registrations are received. If we run out of cabin space, the participants that will need to tent camp will be notified.
HOW WILL HOUSING BE ASSIGNED?
Participants will be housed accordingly to YPT and unit.
WHAT FOOD IS INCLUDED DURING THE WEEKEND?
The participant fee will cover cracker barrel on Friday night, breakfast, lunch, dinner and cracker barrel on Saturday, and grab-n-go breakfast on Sunday morning.
Yes! All participants and staff need to complete Parts A & B of the BSA Annual Health and Medical Record. It will be collected during check-in. No doctor signature is required; however, those under 18 need a parent or guardian’s signature.
WHAT CAN I ARRIVE AT CAMP?
Check-in will begin at 6pm on Friday evening in the Welcome Center. Only staff will be permitted on camp prior to that time. Please do NOT arrive prior to 6pm without prior authorization from conference management. The opening program will begin at 8:30pm Friday night and will be followed by cracker barrel.
WHAT IS THE FEE TO ATTEND SPARK?
The conference fee is $32 per participant or staff member. There is no late fee; however, registering before December 1st, 2018 will provide the best conference experience.
WHAT SHOULD I PACK FOR THE WEEKEND?
- Annual Health and Medical Record
- Field Uniform (Class A)
- Activity Uniform (Class B)
- Walking shoes
- Note taking materials
- Sleeping bag or sheets and blankets
